Random thoughts.

All these years, I have learnt not to care about the slightest bit of thing. At least I'm trying not to do that. I no longer find it necessary to please everyone. I'm selective to who I should show my genuine concern to. To those who truly understand me and accept me for who I am.
I know we all need to depend on others to survive. I know if I don't give much damn to some people who used to matter to me, I may lose that closeness and bond. But it can get really tiring, trying to guess and piece everything together. I guess there's probably no 'close' bonds between us to begin with.
I just hate that guilty or whatever you call it kind of feeling, or the need to make everyone happy sort of thing.

Belated post #1: GC, GC, GC, GC, GC, GC, GC,...

OMG. This like my 7th time (inclusive my two other visits with my family) going to Gold Coast theme parks!
Horrified.

And this November will be my 8th time,
but different lah, it's with my sister. ♥ If only my youngest is coming too tho. :(

Anyway,
The thrill rides are *yawn* to me already.
Not much adrenaline rush anymore, even for the Giant Drop, which used to make my knees kinda weak by just looking at it.
But not anymore now.
SKYDIVING NEXT. but $$$$$$$$.

Ok ok, purpose of my entry here is to show some photo-logs of my 7th GC TRIP.
One of our friends, ok, BF's friend to be exact but sort of played WOW with him too so... yea.
Anyway, his friend decided to come Australia for a visit sooooo adding GC seemed idea since he likes thrill rides too.

This time we stayed at Circle on Cavil (again). Pretty apartment.

Photobucket

With purrrfect night scenery.

Photobucket

Ok actually this was taken at SkyPoint.

So, as usual, one of the usuals at GC.

Photobucket

Where you get to hug a penguin

Photobucket

and a duck.

Photobucket

And get to stand on a car that is stranded at the Asylum, possibly owned by Joker.

Photobucket

Experienced the Green Lantern coaster too! (Looks fun but it's boring. Go to the movie world site for the video clip. Not thrilling one leh so not worth linking HEEHEE.)

Photobucket

The next usual

DREAMWORLD.

Forgot to capture a group photo. Oh well.
At least I got the koala!

Photobucket

And the Claw ride.

Photobucket

AH. Bf did not take because he chickened out...

Photobucket

due to his weak back.
Caused by his stupidity (opps) during our Falls Creek snowboarding trip.
But he was massive sad la.
POOR BF.

Lastly, the other usuals that we always skipped.

Photobucket

The last time I went there..
was when I was young, with my family.
Always avoid going there ever since due to the lack of thrill rides.
But..
because BF was suffering from a weak back, he was super sad as he couldnt take most rides.
So might as well visit the Seaworld right?

To play the adult playground!

Photobucket
Photobucket

And best part of the Seaworld was touching the marine lives!!!!!
I'm serious!

We touched the smiling stingrays...

Photobucket

and great white..

Photobucket

Ok, no great white. and the stingrays arent that big either.
INSTEAD, WE TOUCHED BABY STINGRAYS INSTEAD AND THESE LITTLE BABIES LITERALLY STOLE OUR HEARTS.
Even BF's!

The stingrays were sooo so so cute, very very friendly. (Ignore Steve Irwin's incident. He was forever on the mission to make any living beings pissed off)
Ok, so anyway,
after the rays touching thing, BF was like "Don't feel like eating stingrays now."
Pretty sure it was just for that moment. Not sure about myself though (._.)

You know I am very particular about cleanliness.
But the stingrays were too cute that I.. JUST.. GOT.. TO.. TOUCH.
Photobucket

touching..
touching...
and and and

TOUCHED.

Photobucket
Oh boy it felt good. :O

Oh yes, do visit the fish market near the seaworld! Yummy and reasonably priced seafood.
Nice scenery too!

Photobucket

Don't need the Versace buffet.

BUT You got to be there early because they sell what they catch.
Finish = no more = visit Peter's, which we actually did because we missed it :(
But still very very yummy. and fresh!

One of our yums.

Photobucket

Did not bother taking the rest because we just want to gobble them up. The crab was actually broken into pieces, ready to enter our salivating mouth but we fixed them up for photo taking.

Ok, back to writing up my manuscript. Before I do, last photo!

Photobucket

One of my favourite :)

Jam and Cream

Cam-whore for the day:

Photobucket

And so, as a celebration to mark the end of my honours year, I was happy to join my friends for a tea-party at Jam and Cream. Thanks to the organiser Ashley Lau.

Photobucket

I was greeted by the lovely vintage girly inspired design..
& it made me really really happy!

They even have a chicken coop where they get their eggs. Not sure if it is for all of their baked goods though.

Photobucket

And omg! Their pink caravan in which I was looking forward too when I read their blog.

Photobucket

I must say, it is a really really pretty place for girls' tea party. I can imagine myself holding my 21st birthday celebration there. Or holding my future daughter's birthday parties.

Some photos with my lovely friends.

Photobucket

and the organiser!

And now, the main highlight.
FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD.

Savoury ♥

Photobucket

Photobucket

Pretty decent savoury food. Not much of a unique wow factor tho but still decent. At least they served them piping hot!

Sweets ♥

As much as I LOVE DESSERTS, I enjoy desserts for its flavour; desserts that are too sweet = no-no for me. Probably the reason why I do not like candies and cheap chocolates.
Their sweet treats are a little too sweet for my liking. Had to even scrape off the strawberry layer on the vanilla slice. :O
The sponge cake is definitely moist (yum!) but I am definitely not in favour of their icing. Made me a little sick after everything. Sorry!
BUT BUT BUT!!
I love the scones. Better than Miss Marples!! (Never really like Miss Marples except for their yummy jam and clotted cream.)
Will definitely go back there just for the scones.

One thing that I would like to note is that they charge for refill for hot water to their tea.. which is a little unreasonable.
But well, I will go back for their scones if I were to bring my family/friends around Melb if they are here for holidays. Very pretty place with yummy scones.
Will be interested to try the rest!
Unless I'm around that area, I would prefer baking them at home. Also because I love baking.

PS// Argh. So annoying. Blogging this is making me really HUNGRY.
